Number Match

Ages 3-6 · easy

Question 1 of 5Score: 0

Which group has 2 stars?

Match a written numeral to the correct group of picture symbols in this number-recognition game for children ages 3 to 6. Where our counting game asks a child to count a set and choose its numeral, this game flips the direction — showing a numeral first and asking a child to pick the group with the matching quantity — which is a genuinely different mental step and a useful complement rather than a repeat of the same skill. Practicing both directions helps a child build a flexible, two-way understanding of what a number represents, rather than only being able to recognize it one way. Each round uses simple star symbols so the counting itself stays easy, keeping the focus on the number-to-quantity connection rather than on telling different pictures apart. As with our other math games, there's no timer, and a wrong answer simply shows the correct one before moving to the next round. This game works well right alongside Count the Ducks for a short, varied math session.
