The Story

Once upon a time, a queen wished for a child with lips as red as blood, skin as white as snow, and hair as dark as ebony. Her wish came true, and the child was named Snow White. But the queen died, and the king remarried a vain woman who owned a magic mirror.

Every day, the Evil Queen asked: "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" And the mirror always replied: "You, my queen, are the fairest."

But as Snow White grew older, the mirror gave a different answer: "Snow White is the fairest of them all."

Filled with jealousy, the Evil Queen ordered a huntsman to take Snow White into the forest and kill her. But the huntsman had a kind heart. He let Snow White go and told her to run far away.

Snow White ran deep into the forest until she found a tiny, cozy cottage. Inside were seven little beds, seven chairs, and seven place settings. Exhausted, she fell asleep.

When the seven dwarfs — Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, and Dopey — returned from the mines, they found Snow White and welcomed her warmly. She stayed with them, keeping the cottage tidy and cooking their meals.

But the Evil Queen discovered that Snow White was still alive. She disguised herself as an old woman and offered Snow White a poisoned apple. Unable to resist, Snow White took a bite and fell into a deep sleep.

The dwarfs placed her in a glass coffin in the forest. One day, a prince happened by and was so moved by her beauty that he begged to take the coffin to his castle. As his servants carried it, they stumbled and the piece of poisoned apple fell from Snow White's lips.

Snow White awakened and fell in love with the prince who had saved her. They married and lived happily ever after, while the Evil Queen's vanity was her own downfall.
