Finger Family (Daddy Finger) Lyrics
A simple traditional fingerplay in which each finger becomes a family member — Daddy, Mommy, Brother, Sister, and Baby — answering the call "where are you?" with "here I am." Best for ages 1–4. Wiggling one finger at a time as you name each family member builds finger isolation and fine-motor control, while the call-and-response models early conversational turns and the names reinforce family vocabulary. The five-member structure also gives a gentle, natural introduction to counting to five. Wiggle the matching finger on each line, or draw little faces on fingertips for extra delight and recognition.
